Abstract

It is time to think differently about the teaching and learning process. After the past century of research, the modern view suggests that meaningful and sustained learning is a whole person phenomenon. The latest researches also suggest that the real life learning is characterized as playful, recursive, non-linear, engaging, self directed and meaningful from the Learner’s perspective.

Today, ‘The Learner Centered Approach’ is much in vogue. It is an approach that concentrates basically on individual learners- their heredity, experiences, perspectives, backgrounds, talents, interests, capacities and needs. It focuses on the learning process and the teaching practices that are most effective in promoting the highest levels of motivation, learning and achievement for all the learners. In fact this new vision of – “The Learner Centered” is a great paradigm shift that transforms education.

This paper explores the potential of different techniques to support the learning process and to make it interesting, interactive and productive.
