Abstract
Teaching English to science college students has not been this much challenging earlier as now. The availability of plenty of professional courses and the decreasing employability of basic Science Graduates have created such a panic situation that very few students prefer B.Sc. courses.

Few among the students who take for B.Sc. course are interested in learning English sincerely. For these students, the paper of English is a burden; and their only goal is to get passing marks in the examination. In this scenario, the teacher of English, in a Science College, is awkwardly placed.

With almost all the traditional teaching aids and methodologies, English teacher has nothing to deliver and he feels like a fish out of the water. Without using fascinating tools of the modern Technology, it is very difficult to attract the science college students to English Language. Technology helps not only to attract students towards learning of language but it helps in empowering them by increasing their proficiency in English language.

This paper aims at exploring new experiments carried out in the class to improve proficiency of English language. The paper deals with following experiments:

1. Developing writing skills through social community portal:
2. Power point Presentations:
3. Group SMSing:
4. Developing Reading and Listening Skills with the help of Mobile smart phones:
5. Improving vocabulary with the help of web based SMS service.
